Un.titled wanted a Vimeo video player module written for the Sunuva website. Running Magento 1, this module had to be easy to be configured, abide by the Magento 1 coding guidelines and render the video in a responsive format.

Eastbrook Systems’ website was dedicated to selling printer ink, toner and other consumables and whilst potential customers could view products by category and do a “site search”, it was difficult to actually find the list of compatible inks and toners for their printer.

Richard (Bairwell) therefore developed a custom WordPress plugin for Eastbrook Systems which allowed them to list printer manufacturers/brands, the various models for each brand and then specify which of their WooCommerce e-commerce listed products was compatible for that model. This allowed potential customers to pick their printer make/brand and then the model number to get a list of all compatible printer inks and toner.

To allow for quick deployment, the ink finder plugin allowed uploading of a CSV file which could contain the brands, models and compatible SKUs and it would automatically populate the database based on these values.

Quantum Yoga wanted a website which reflected their dynamic flowing exercise services whilst allowing for customers to purchase products such as DVDs and books, find local teachers and just find out more about their brand of yoga.

We designed and then built them a WordPress WooCommerce (e-commerce) powered website with an events calendar and “find a teacher” (with location filtering and a teacher administration portal).

Accepting payments by Paypal, this WooCommerce powered website was designed for a clean “white space” feeling to appeal to the health conscious visitor to encourage them to try team from the Moringa Oleifera tree.

There are so many e-commerce platforms to choose from now, many are either overly complicated, or horribly expensive. So when Portable Heating Solutions were looking to update their website, we didn’t hesitate to suggest WooCommerce. It’s user friendly, search engine friendly and management friendly – what’s more, it doesn’t cost a penny, so it’s budget friendly too.

This was a WordPress and WooCommerce design and build was conducted over November and December 2012 (with some follow up work in September 2013)

As part of an entire site and branding refresh, MyUnitard wanted to move away from their ClickCartPro e-commerce solution to a Magento 1 powered e-commerce store. Whilst doing so, they also wanted a new logo and to move away from supplier-provided images and develop a distinctive visual style for their product photography.

A mannequin, some 500W tungsten lights, a ream of Colorama background paper and many hours later and voilà! Then we just needed to setup Magento, import all the products, configure the VAT settings and payment gateways (SagePay, Paypal and Stripe) and the shipping settings.

Pulling in information from a remote Microsoft SQL database Server (MS-SQL) and a remote PostgreSQL database server, this application allowed for online sales figures to be viewed for the two eCommerce systems in operation (previously there was no sales reporting information available) and for the information to be compared between the systems.

Written in PHP, this system utilised the Yahoo! YUI Javascript library to enable online graphs to be displayed and interacted with – along with allowing output in web page (HTML) and CSV (Comma Separated Value) file formats for importing into Microsoft Excel. The system, due to the confidential nature of the data, had a strict user authentication system which used Active Directory network logons and PostgreSQL’s user management facilities.

Easy Internet wanted to branch out offering customers dedicated servers and virtual private servers (VPS: before they were popular!) in conjunction with their existing shared hosting packages. Richard wrote a PHP website which allowed variations of the servers to be entered and customers were then able to pick and choose (and further refine) their selection.

After finalising their selection, the would then be taken through the order process with payment being taken by either WorldPay or Paypal before the server was deployed.

This is one of the few websites which Richard (who prefers coding and can’t really design: his words!) actually designed from start to to  finish: it was only meant to be a “tech preview”, but the manager of Easy Internet liked it so the basic fast design was retained.

Utilising the iTagg  SMS third party SOAP XML based Text messaging system, this PHP driven website allowed customers to place an order online and then pay for their internet web hosting using SMS technology.

The system assigned each customer a unique 6 character code which had to be “texted” in to the third party gateway which then notified the system.

The system then sent out two “reverse billed premium rate” text messages to the customer who then had to enter them on the website – upon which the system will automatically create their cPanel web hosting account and enter their details in the WHMAutopilot billing system. The system would automatically send out renewal notification emails to the customer and, if their account was not renewed, it would automatically suspend their account upon non-payment.
