Suzi Godson has written a weekly sex and relationships column for The Times newspaper in the UK for the last ten years and whilst she had an existing WordPress powered website, she wanted a few tweaks to the pre-purchased theme design and for a company to advise and assist her on its web hosting.

Nigel wanted a number of number of changes made to a pre-purchased ThemeForest WordPress theme for his technical review site and he contacted us to see if we could help.

We made the changes required, ported over his content from his old site, fixed problems with Google Adsense modules and made a number of other changes for him.

Quantum Yoga wanted a website which reflected their dynamic flowing exercise services whilst allowing for customers to purchase products such as DVDs and books, find local teachers and just find out more about their brand of yoga.

We designed and then built them a WordPress WooCommerce (e-commerce) powered website with an events calendar and “find a teacher” (with location filtering and a teacher administration portal).

With custom video, mapping and social media integration, this wasn’t a perfectly straight forward WordPress development. However when Rury approached us, we came up with a plan and a design and got it built for him – along with arranging his hosting and email (via Google Apps)

Anthony contacted us to ask if we could overhaul his popular fashion orientated voucher/discounts website and it was a pleasure to help.

What started off a simple redesign grew to add affiliate tracking, image sliders, automated top 10 ranking of vouchers based on popularity, popular categories, blog functionality, cookie warnings, “load more” options, automated data import from RSS and JSON feeds and much more – making it quite an impressive website.

Customers are able to filter by “store/brand” (or choose from an alphabetical list of stores) and all clicks through to the appropriate store is tracked using dedicated URLs for record keeping and ranking of the codes. The backend allows for the administrators of the site to setup new stores (with names and URLs) and optional “feed urls” to automatically add discount codes and vouchers when they become available.

Hodder Education wanted a nicely designed, clean looking website to promote their range of In A Week Teach Yourself® books. Using WordPress, we designed an easy to update search engine friendly site to allow them to quickly add books and authors to the site whilst still allowing some variation on the layout on a book-by-book basis.

Octopus Publishing Group (part of Hatchette) needed a way of quickly and simply producing websites for their books: including the tie in to the BBC hit series Wartime Farm.

We proposed a custom built WordPress theme which allowed their staff to quickly pick a number of options to build a website – without having to spend time learning how to use WordPress itself. We chose WordPress for it’s content editor and continual updates, but reduced the complexity of the administration screens to ensure that Octopus kept the “look and feel” consistent across all their sites.

This theme, called “Octotheme” (due to a lack of imagination on our part) has been deployed to promote “Wartime Farm”, “The World Atlas Of Wine”, “Plain Simple Useful”, “Philip’s Astronomy” and “Star Gazing 2013” to our knowledge – but Octopus have the rights to use the theme on as many different sites as they like.

As part of an entire site and branding refresh, MyUnitard wanted to move away from their ClickCartPro e-commerce solution to a Magento 1 powered e-commerce store. Whilst doing so, they also wanted a new logo and to move away from supplier-provided images and develop a distinctive visual style for their product photography.

A mannequin, some 500W tungsten lights, a ream of Colorama background paper and many hours later and voilà! Then we just needed to setup Magento, import all the products, configure the VAT settings and payment gateways (SagePay, Paypal and Stripe) and the shipping settings.
