Clarks Shoes needed 36 (initially 32) different WordPress sites for different geographical regions setup with slightly varying content depending on shoe availability and locality targeting. This information came from many different Excel spreadsheets (each could contain 800+ different products) and a file storage of images (with many images per shoe).

Un.titled asked us to design and build a “multi-site data importer” to read in the multiple spreadsheets, validate the data therein (in case of transcript/export errors), resized the “print ready” images to “web ready” sizes (and automatically upload them to Amazon S3) and then populate the sites with the appropriate categories, page data and product data.

We also took the supplied web page designs from Un.titled and made the responsive functional WordPress templates from them to allow this easy deployment of many sites into many regions (powered by Amazon Web Services running on RDS, EC2 and S3): along with the flexibility to create a “static” version of the site to be able to be easily deployed into a web host in China for the local market there.

They also required easy uploads for the biannual seasonal refreshes, country specific marketing imagery and multi language content, consolidating the British manufacturer’s international reach.

Working for Un.titled, we helped bring their new design for the existing Expression Engine powered Galvanizers Association website to life. A fixed (non-responsive) design was designed in Photoshop and passed to Richard Bairwell who then made a WordPress theme supporting company listings and custom post type functionality.

This new site allowed projects to not only to be listed under relevant categories but also to be highlighted if they were nominated (or won) the converted “GA Award” in a particular year – however, this had to be easy to administer (and add images and new projects) to allow Galvanizers Association staff to be able to easily and quickly add new projects.

Suzi Godson has written a weekly sex and relationships column for The Times newspaper in the UK for the last ten years and whilst she had an existing WordPress powered website, she wanted a few tweaks to the pre-purchased theme design and for a company to advise and assist her on its web hosting.

Nigel wanted a number of number of changes made to a pre-purchased ThemeForest WordPress theme for his technical review site and he contacted us to see if we could help.

We made the changes required, ported over his content from his old site, fixed problems with Google Adsense modules and made a number of other changes for him.

Eastbrook Systems’ website was dedicated to selling printer ink, toner and other consumables and whilst potential customers could view products by category and do a “site search”, it was difficult to actually find the list of compatible inks and toners for their printer.

Richard (Bairwell) therefore developed a custom WordPress plugin for Eastbrook Systems which allowed them to list printer manufacturers/brands, the various models for each brand and then specify which of their WooCommerce e-commerce listed products was compatible for that model. This allowed potential customers to pick their printer make/brand and then the model number to get a list of all compatible printer inks and toner.

To allow for quick deployment, the ink finder plugin allowed uploading of a CSV file which could contain the brands, models and compatible SKUs and it would automatically populate the database based on these values.

The Asylum Support Appeals Project (ASAP) wanted “to move to a WordPress base[d] website and we are looking for someone to develop the design and also populate the website (mainly based on contents of current site).  The main issue of our current is that it is very time consuming and not very user friendly to update as well as looking a bit dated.”.

We achieved this from initial contact to completed “gone live” site in a month – complete with guides on how to use WordPress for administration.

This was a comprehensive WordPress site design and build involving an affiliate internet broadband provider which needed to receive “live” information about internet availability on a postcode and telephone basis.

This required custom third party integration code to connect to their data provider have a JSON API and then correlate the results with detailed packages to offer the best deal to their customers.

To achieve this, parallel development was carried out by Bairwell. One team member was working on the website design and WordPress build whilst another team member was working on building the custom WordPress JSON API (and caching) plugin along with building a “deal ranker” to prioritise appropriate deals.

Broadband Deals was sold in 2016 and was redeveloped to offer guides and further information – but in 2017, it is still using our JSON API integration plugin.

Quantum Yoga wanted a website which reflected their dynamic flowing exercise services whilst allowing for customers to purchase products such as DVDs and books, find local teachers and just find out more about their brand of yoga.

We designed and then built them a WordPress WooCommerce (e-commerce) powered website with an events calendar and “find a teacher” (with location filtering and a teacher administration portal).

Accepting payments by Paypal, this WooCommerce powered website was designed for a clean “white space” feeling to appeal to the health conscious visitor to encourage them to try team from the Moringa Oleifera tree.

Ariane approached to uplift her existing website promoting her “Chronicles From Iran” book to English, French and Farsi (Persian) readers, but she had a small budget.

We produced the site with all content in all three languages – even offering left-to-right text for English and French readers and right-to-left for Farsi readers.
